The Bolinas lagoon site of Audubon Canyon Ranch encompasses 3 canyons and hosts a variety of outdoor environmental education programs. Collaborating with DC& E, ACR’s site and program were carefully analyzed and 3 options developed that enhance the sites’ ecological resources and historic structures.

Integrating issues of safety and access, privacy for on-site residences, energy efficiency, passive and active solar access, and strong social spaces, the emerging design features minimal yet effective site and building modifications which serve to tie the variety of styles, areas and site conditions into a cohesive whole.
